Academic Research of the Social Impact of Internet

This paper explains the importance of systematic research the social impact of Internet which is evident in all forms of interpersonal relationships. Oxford Internet Institute is taken as an excellent example to show the possibility of comprehensive multidisciplinary academic research of the social implications of Internet. Special attention is payed to the ideas of phd. William Dutton, Professor of Internet Studies and Director of the Oxford Internet Institute from its founding in 2001.
