Blogging in the Service of Science
Pro and contra of scientific blogs

In this paper, the author has presented the importance of growth and development of information technologies and their impact on the science dissemination.

All efforts of scientific community to make science open to public without publishers' restriction resulted in appearance of science blogs. Science blogging is growing every day as many scientists realized that their contribution to science could be in creating science blog. In their blogs, authors have exclusive rights to write about science, to communicate faster and easier with other experts and to spread scientific thoughts, ideas and theories.

From the whole blogosphere, science blogging is the most valuable, open science lead to open society. On science blogs we can see many related articles that refer to other blogs. Communication between scientific bloggers correlated with social networks usage. Science community is a special guild, creates a network of scientific bloggers, in a manner of comprehensive aggregators of science blogs across the globe. In that way science blogs represent a huge online treasure.
