Sava Tekelia: Life, Library

Abstract: The text is honored to Sava Tekelija (1761-1842), who was the first doctor iuris in Serbian culture. Also, he was the supplier to Matica Srpska and Matica srpska Library. In the first decades of 19 century, Tekelija founded Tekelijanum, place where students could meet and study history and literature. Matica Srpska Library is the owner of his library with more than seven thousand books. Nowadays, these books which are separated in Old books and Manuscripts Collection are available on Web site Matica Srpska Library.
